Allpa Passport · Living heritage

Every work carries a story.
Allpa helps preserve it.

The Allpa Passport brings together documented information about a physical work: its identity, distinctive features, known makers and its story through time.

A design may be crafted again. Each registered piece has its own identity, because no two handmade works are exactly alike.

  • Its Allpa ID: a permanent identifier for the individual piece, different from the design reference in the shop.
  • People, workshops and techniques associated with the work, when reviewed sources are available.
  • Its cultural context and provenance, with clear notes on what is documented and what remains pending.

How it works

A story documented step by step

Your Passport never invents information: it shows what we know about a piece and what still needs review.

  1. 01

    We identify your work

Each registered physical piece receives an Allpa ID, distinct from the design you chose in the shop.

  2. 02

    We document its story

Materials, techniques, makers and cultural context are added when supported by documented sources.

  3. 03

    We preserve its journey

The Passport can accompany new chapters in the work’s life, with a documented history.

Allpa Passport frequently asked questions

The essentials, made simple

Is the Passport the same as a certificate?

No. The Passport brings together a physical piece’s identity and story. A certificate is a separate document issued by Allpa with its own lookup code.

When does my work receive an Allpa ID?

When the physical piece is individually identified, either when it enters inventory or when made-to-order production begins.

What if information about the maker or provenance is missing?

We clearly mark it as awaiting documentation. We only describe information as reviewed when it is supported by sources and evidence.
